What is Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery?

Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery is a secure, convenient way to receive Amazon Prime packages inside your garage. It helps prevent package theft and provides protection from potentially damaging weather like heat and rain.

In-Garage Delivery requires a compatible Smart Garage Hub or Wi-fi Garage Door Opener to enable authorized Amazon delivery associates to leave Amazon packages inside your garage.

How do I know if I have a compatible garage door opener?

If I don’t have a Chamberlain opener, do I have to buy a new one?

How much does In-Garage Delivery cost?

Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery is an Exclusive Prime Benefit. It costs $1.99 per order for 1-2 day delivery, but this fee is waived when you use Amazon Day with Key, which you can set as your preferred delivery option and groups all of your in-garage deliveries so they arrive on the day you choose.

How do I update my Amazon Key settings to work with Amazon Day with Key Delivery?

You can go to the Amazon Key settings page in the Amazon app to update your preferred delivery option.

I paused Amazon Key. How can I re-activate it?

You can visit the Amazon Key settings page in the Amazon app, or amazon.com/key-delivery.

I accidentally chose doorstep as my preferred delivery option. How can I change it back to Amazon Key?

To change your preferred delivery option to Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery, go to your Amazon Key settings in the Amazon app and select “Amazon Day with Key Delivery”.

Can I still get In-Garage Delivery if I default to doorstep?

Yes, you always have the option to select In-Garage Delivery when checking out on Amazon.com, even if your preferred delivery option is set to doorstep. Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery is an Exclusive Prime Benefit. It costs $1.99 per order for 1-2 day delivery, but this fee is waived when you use Amazon Day with Key, which you can set as your preferred delivery option and groups all of your in-garage deliveries so they arrive on the day you choose. This allows for fewer deliveries to your home, and fewer boxes used. If you decide you only want In-Garage Delivery sometimes, you can select Prime delivery to your doorstep as your preferred delivery option. These changes can be made in your Amazon Key settings, or selected at checkout at any time.

I changed my myQ device. How can I reconnect to Amazon Key on my new device?

If you have made changes to your device that you used when setting up Amazon Key, you might need to reconnect to be able to use the service again.

How can I change my Amazon Day?

You can change your Amazon Day by going to the Amazon Day page and selecting “Manage your Amazon Day” or by selecting “Change your delivery day” under your FREE Amazon Day Delivery ship option at checkout.
